A character from Greek mythology. This beautiful young shepherd fell in love with the moon goddess Selene and became her lover. Through her intercession, Zeus granted him eternal youth and beauty in his sleep. Every night, Selene would visit the cave where he slept and have sex with his sleeping lover. Selene is said to have given birth to 50 daughters from his seed.
