Curia

Japanese: curia
Curia

…a member of the Curia, the oldest unit of citizenship in ancient Rome. The Curia was originally a religious group of noble families, which elected a chief and priests and had a place of assembly. The Curia was important in that it was the oldest subunit of the Assembly and the oldest military organization in the country. However, with the rise in the status of non-aristocratic citizens during the Republican period, the Curia lost its national and military significance, and only its religious significance was preserved for posterity.

From the Clan System

...However, on the other hand, it is said that from ancient times the entire people joined the phrateria, not as individuals but through an intermediate subordinate organization, and it can be proven that among the possible subordinate organizations, the ritual groups other than the genos are a relatively later development, and in fact there are groups such as artisans that can be assumed to be remnants of the genos other than the aristocratic class. Therefore, recent historians have considered that if the phrateria was joined by the entire people, the genos was also a blood-related unit group that was original to all Greeks, probably even before the polis.
[Rome]
A similar deduction might be made about the ancient Roman tribus, curia, and genses. According to ancient legend, the Romans were originally formed from three tribes, each divided into ten curias, and each curia into ten genses.

From Rome

...The king's power was not dictatorial but was the "first among equals." The people were divided into three tribes (tribus) based on clans: the Tityes, the Ramnes, and the Luceres. Each tribe consisted of 10 curia. Each curia provided 100 infantry and 10 cavalry.

Japanese:
