Kanematsudoi

...Except for the mountainous area around Mount Kishima at the western end, this is an alluvial lowland that occupies the western edge of the Chikushi Plain, and remains of the jori system remain. The coastal area, including Kanematsudoi, has been reclaimed land since the early modern period, and many place names contain the character karami, which means a bank protection. The main industry is agriculture, and in addition to rice and wheat, lotus root, onions, and other crops are cultivated, as well as greenhouse cultivation of strawberries.
