This is the diary of Toin Kinkata, an aristocrat from the end of the Kamakura period to the first half of the Northern and Southern Courts period. Kinkata was called Nakazono Daishokoku, so named because people at that time wrote their diaries in a calendar called Guchu-reki. The entries cover the period from 1311 (the first year of Ocho) to 1360, but many parts have been lost, and only the Ocho Gannenki remains. The rest are mainly excerpts and transcriptions borrowed from Nakanoin Michihide, who had bought the originals from Kanroji Chikanaga. Kinkata rose to the position of Daijo-daijin, and after the country was divided into the Northern and Southern Courts, he served the Northern Court. This makes it a valuable historical source for learning about the political history of the time. → Related article: Yoriaki Niki Source : Heibonsha Encyclopedia About MyPedia Information |
