Torpedo - Suirai

Japanese: 水雷 - すいらい
Torpedo - Suirai

A general term for underwater destructive weapons designed to destroy or sink enemy ships by detonating a large amount of explosives underwater. There are fish-shaped torpedoes (torpedoes) that have a propulsion system and move underwater using an autopilot device, and explode when they come into contact with or are detected by an enemy ship; mechanical torpedoes (sea mines) that are laid underwater and explode when a ship comes into contact with or is detected by them; and underwater depth charges for attacking submarines that are dropped underwater and explode when they reach a certain depth.
