Crustacea

…the group of animals that make up the phylum Arthropoda, class Crustacea, that live primarily in water and breathe through gills. There are about 50,000 species, most of which are marine, and they make up the majority of the Arthropods, along with insects and spiders that live primarily on land and breathe air through tracheas. Most are free-swimming or walking, but many are sessile or parasitic. They are distributed throughout the hydrosphere, and their morphology and ecology are extremely diverse.
[Form and Function]
The body is generally divided into three parts: head, thorax, and abdomen, or into a cephalothorax and abdomen, each of which is made up of segments.
