Dicotyledonous plants. There are 350 genera and about 3,000 species, including radish, cabbage, Chinese cabbage, and wasabi. They are found mainly in the temperate and subtropical zones of the Northern Hemisphere, but are particularly abundant in Western Asia and the Mediterranean coastal regions.
