Aconitase

EC 4.2.1.3. Also known as aconitate hydratase. An enzyme that catalyzes the reaction of adding water to cis -aconitate to produce citric acid or isocitrate. It is an enzyme involved in one step of the tricarboxylic acid cycle and is widely found in living organisms. In a system in which citric acid is continuously converted to isocitrate, cis -aconitate exists bound to the enzyme and does not become free. This enzyme has strict stereospecificity for the cis form. The ratio of each substance at equilibrium is citric acid: cis -aconitic acid: isocitric acid = 91:3:6. Mg2 ⁺ shifts the equilibrium towards citric acid. [CAS 9024-25-3]

EC 4.2.1.3．アコニット酸ヒドラターゼともいう．cis-アコニット酸に水を付加し，クエン酸またはイソクエン酸を生成する反応を触媒する酵素．トリカルボン酸サイクルの1段階に関与する酵素で，生物界に広く存在する．クエン酸からイソクエン酸に連続的に変化する系では，cis-アコニット酸は酵素に結合した状態で存在し，遊離状態とならない．この酵素はシス形に対する厳密な立体特異性がある．平衡状態における各物質の存在比は，クエン酸：cis-アコニット酸：イソクエン酸 ＝ 91：3：6である．Mg^2＋ は平衡をクエン酸側にずらす．[CAS 9024-25-3]
