The oldest alchemical document inscribed on an emerald. Also known as the Tabula smaragdina. It is believed to have been written by either Hermes Trismegistus or King Hiram, but some say it dates back to the 12th century. It teaches that the three worlds of the universe, nature, and humans are permeated by the principle of the Trinity, which is the basis for the correspondence of all things, that is, "as above, so below." It describes how to distill, evaporate, putrefy, and multiply the subtle substances embedded in the body, and form the Philosopher's Stone through the process of blackening, whitening, and reddening, according to this principle.
