Uganbishi

...The island is home to mountains such as Mt. Odake (326m) and Mt. Uegusuku (310m) in the north, and Mt. Ara (287m) in the southeast. In the center, a plateau with an elevation of 50-100m spreads out, both made of andesite, but the western plateau is made of Ryukyu limestone. Terrace topography can be seen on the coast, and coral reefs are well developed in the southwestern and eastern ocean, especially the one on the eastern side that stretches for 12km and is called Uganbishi. Kumejima was formerly called Kumijima, and during the Ryukyu Kingdom era, it was a key point on the sea route connecting Ryukyu and China.
