…It is a hilly highland located almost in the center of Europe, surrounded by the Bohemian Basin, Austria, Germany, Poland, and the Moravian region of the Czech Republic. The origin of the name Bohemia comes from the Greek Boioi and the Latin Boii, and refers to a branch of the Celtic people who migrated from Southwest Germany to present-day Bohemia in the 4th century BC through the area between the Main and Danube rivers. They left the area around 60 BC due to the oppression of the Germanic peoples, and the Boii who remained in Bohemia were subordinated to the Germanic Marcomanni in 10 BC, but the Germanic peoples also left Bohemia during the Migration Period, and eventually the West Slavic peoples advanced, and the Czech people formed an ethnic group and a nation after the 9th and 10th centuries. …
