Entsuji Temple (Aomori) - Entsuji Temple

...the general term for a cone-shaped volcano and its outer rim located in the northeastern part of Aomori Prefecture and the northern part of the Shimokita Peninsula. Also called Osoreyama or Usoriyama, the name Osorezan comes from the mountain name of the family temple (Entsu-ji) in this area. It is made up of rhyolite, dacite, and pyroxene andesite, and has a caldera in the center with a diameter of about 4 km.
