Loōdi Dynasty - Loōdi Dynasty (English spelling)

Japanese: ローディー朝 - ろーでぃーちょう（英語表記）Loōdi

The fifth dynasty of the Delhi Sultanate in northern India. 1451-1526. Unlike the other dynasties of Turkish origin, this dynasty was of Afghan origin. The dynasty was ruled by three rulers, Bahlūl Lodī (reigned 1451-89), Sikandar Lodī (reigned 1489-1517), and Ibrāhīm Lodī (reigned 1517-26), and after 75 years the dynasty was destroyed. However, in relation to the Mughal Empire, which defeated the dynasty in the Battle of Panipat, the dynasty played an important role in continuing Muslim rule in the Delhi Sultanate.
