Rock bolt

Rock bolt
Also called rock bolts. A type of tunnel support material, a bolt and its accessories that are inserted into holes drilled in rock. They are often used in tunnels and other underground spaces where rocks, mainly the roof and sometimes the side walls, are prone to peeling and falling off, to sew them to the existing solid rock at that point to prevent them from falling off. There are various structures, but the simplest is a wedge-shaped bolt, one example of which is a bolt with a split end and a wedge between them. This is driven into the hole, and the tip is expanded by the action of the wedge to fix it to the wall of the hole, and a washer is placed on the other end and tightened to the roof using a nut.
