A breed of chicken. A typical egg-laying breed originating from Italy. They start laying eggs at about 5 months of age, and can lay up to 365 eggs a year, usually 250-280. Their feathers are white or brown, and there are four types of comb, but most in Japan have a single white comb. Most egg-laying chickens in Japan are crossbreds of this line.
