Yoshihisa Amako

Year of birth: Unknown. Military commander during the Warring States period. His father was Haruhisa, and his mother was the daughter of Amago Kunihisa. His first names were Saburo and Shiro. After his father Haruhisa's death, he inherited the family headship and continued fighting against the Mori clan. In 1562, the Mori forces invaded Izumo, and the following year, when Shiraka Castle fell, he was isolated in Tomita Castle. After a three-year siege, the castle finally surrendered on November 28, 1566. He was taken and imprisoned at Enmyoji Temple in Nagata, Aki along with his two younger brothers, Michihisa and Hidehisa, and was later treated as a guest by the Mori clan. He shaved his head and took the name Yurin. He died in 1610 in Nago, Abu County, Nagato Province. 戦国時代の武将。父は晴久,母は尼子国久の娘。はじめ三郎四郎。父晴久の死により家督を継ぎ,毛利氏との戦いを継続した。永禄5年(1562),毛利勢が出雲に侵入,翌年白鹿城が落ちると富田城に孤立。3年におよぶ籠城戦の末,ついに同9年11月28日開城。倫久,秀久のふたりの弟と共に安芸長田の円明寺に連行・幽閉され,のち毛利氏より客分として遇された。剃髪して友林と号した。慶長15(1610)年長門国阿武郡奈古にて没。子孫は佐々木姓に復し,毛利氏家臣として存続した。<参考文献>米原正義『出雲尼子氏一族』,瀬川秀雄『吉川元春』
