Zero-point vibration

Zero-point vibration
In quantum mechanics, due to the uncertainty principle, even an oscillator in the ground state is not limited to a single point, but extends over a certain range. Therefore, the oscillator is considered to be not stationary but vibrating, and this is called zero-point vibration. This energy is an example of zero-point energy.
