Res gestae divi Augusti (Latin)
More precisely, it is called the Records of the Achievements of God-Emperor Augustus, and is a written record of the political career of Augustus, the first Roman emperor. He wrote his will while he was alive, and in part of it he wished to record his own achievements, have them engraved on a bronze tablet and place it at the entrance to his tomb. The bronze tablet has disappeared from the front of the mausoleum in Rome, but since the 16th century, the Ancyra inscription, discovered in Asia Minor, has revealed almost its entirety, along with the Apollonia inscription and the Antioch inscription, which supplement it.
