Forestry Agency - Rinyacho

An external bureau of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries. Its main duties are to manage and operate national and public forests and other government-run afforestation areas, supervise and guide private forests, and coordinate the production, distribution and consumption of forest products, as well as other affairs related to the development and improvement of forestry. Its internal bureaus are the Forestry Policy Department, Forest Management Department and National Forest Department. Its councils and facilities include the Forestry Policy Council and the Forest Technology Training Institute. There are also forest management bureaus in seven locations across the country as regional branch bureaus, and forest management offices as branch offices of the forest management bureaus.

農林水産省の外局。その主たる任務は、国有林野および公有林野等官行造林地の管理および経営、民有林野に関する指導監督、林産物の生産、流通および消費の調整その他林業の発達改善に関する事務を行うことである。内部部局として、林政部、森林整備部、国有林野部がある。審議会および施設等機関に、林政審議会、森林技術総合研修所がある。また地方支分部局として全国7か所に森林管理局があり、森林管理局の出先機関として森林管理署がある。
