Other sculptures include the Thousand-Armed Kannon in the Sammai-do (Shinjuku-do), the seated Maitreya Bodhisattva (on loan from the Nara National Museum) also known as the "Great Buddha of Trial" and said to be a Buddha with good reason, the seated Kariteimo in the Nigatsu-do dining hall, and the standing statues of Jikokuten and Tamonten, which were moved from Eikyu-ji Temple in Tenri during the anti-Buddhist movement in the early Meiji period. Paintings include the "Kusya Mandala," a work from the late Heian period but with a revivalist style, as well as the "Kegon Fifty-Five Places Scroll," also known as the "Zenzai Doji Emaki," and the framed "Kegon Fifty-Five Places Painting," both of which are said to date to the second half of the 12th century.
