Back strength - back strength

Japanese:
Back strength - back strength

The strength measured using a back dynamometer is generally called back strength. The value measured by a back dynamometer is a combination of the strength of the muscles in the back of the trunk, centered on the latissimus dorsi, and the muscles in the lower back and buttocks. In order to obtain an appropriate value, it is important to follow the procedure of not bending the knees, straightening the back, leaning forward at a 30 degree angle, gradually applying force vertically upward, and pulling to the maximum strength. Back strength, along with grip strength, is considered one of the representative values of muscle strength in the body, and it increases with growth. In addition, back strength is important for humans to maintain an upright posture on two legs, but it is also necessary to have a good balance with the abdominal muscles during exercise. The back strength of an average adult male is around 150 kilograms, but for excellent athletes (wrestlers, weightlifters, etc.), it is 200 to 300 kilograms.
