...Paasikivi (in office 1946-56) served two terms, and from 1956 Kekkonen was elected for five terms, making him the president for 25 years. Since 1982, Mauno Koivisto (1923- ) has been the ninth president. In 1994, Martti Ahtisaari was elected president.
