Phosphomolybdate (phosphomolybdate)

Japanese: リンモリブデン酸塩(燐モリブデン酸塩) - りんモリブデンさんえん（英語表記）phosphomolybdate

A common name for a salt of heteropolyacid made from phosphorus and molybdenum. The correct name is molybdophosphate. Examples include ^{M I} ₄ [P ₂ Mo ₁₂ O ₄₁ ], M ^I ₃ [PMo ₁₂ O ₄₀ ], and M ^I ₆ [P ₂ Mo ₁₈ O ₆₂ ].

The general formula is M ^I ₃ [PMo ₁₂ O ₄₀ ]. The structure of [PMo ₁₂ O ₄₀ ] ^3- is a polynuclear complex in which polyacids are coordinated with P as the central atom (Figure). When an aqueous solution of phosphoric acid and molybdic acid is boiled, the free acid extracted with ether is dissolved in water and concentrated in a vacuum sulfuric acid desiccator to obtain free acid crystals.

　一般式M^I₃[PMo₁₂O₄₀]。[PMo₁₂O₄₀]^3－の構造はPを中心原子としてポリ酸の配位した多核錯体である(図)。リン酸とモリブデン酸の水溶液を沸騰させ，エーテルで抽出した遊離酸を水に溶かし，真空硫酸デシケーター中で濃縮すると遊離酸結晶が得られる。
