Ryoshi

Japanese: 遼史 - りょうし
Ryoshi
Historical work. One of the 25 official histories of China. 116 volumes. Compiled by Tutuo and others under the reign of Emperor Shun of the Yuan Dynasty. Completed in the fourth year of the Zhizheng era ( 1344 ). Records the history of the Liao Dynasty in the form of a chronicle, and consists of 30 volumes of annals, 32 volumes of zhi, 8 volumes of tables, 45 volumes of biographies, and one volume of explanations of the national language. There are many incomplete points because the Liao Dynasty's laws prohibited the export of official documents from the country, and because of the wars, it was compiled only from the records of two families, Yelu and Chen Dayen.
