Preparatory Committee for the Founding of Korea

Japanese: 朝鮮建国準備委員会 - ちょうせんけんこくじゅんびいいんかい

This was the first attempt by Koreans themselves to establish a nation after liberation. It was established on August 17, 1945, with the nationalist leftist Yo Un-hyung as chairman. It soon merged with a communist organization, and by August 27, it had expanded to one bureau and 12 departments, and took the lead in the early stages of politics. It planned to establish the nation before the American troops landed, and on September 6, it declared the establishment of the "People's Republic of Korea." However, it came into conflict with the National Assembly Preparatory Committee, led by Song Jin-u, and divided the nation. However, it was not recognized by the United States, and it had to be dissolved.

解放後初めての朝鮮人自身の手による建国の試み。 1945年8月 17日民族主義左派の呂運亨を委員長として発足。まもなく共産主義組織と合流し，8月 27日には1局 12部に組織を拡大，初期の政治の主導権を握った。アメリカ軍の上陸前の建国を企図し，9月6日に「朝鮮人民共和国」の樹立を宣言したが，宋鎮禹らの国民大会準備会と対立し，国論を2分した。しかしアメリカの認めるところではなく，消滅せざるをえなかった。
