Ryukeien

Japanese:
Ryukeien

A scholar from the Yi Dynasty of Korea. His pen name was Deokfu and his pen name was Bankei. He devoted his life to academic research and wrote many books, but only Bankei Surok, which describes his vision for building an ideal nation, remains today. From the standpoint of an agrarian ideology that the land is the foundation of the world, he advocated reforming the entire social system, which had many drawbacks at the time, by implementing land reform first. Bankei Surok was later published by special order of King Yeongjo (reigned 1724-1776), and his practical knowledge of governance and practical use was inherited by Seongho Yi (1681-1763), Dasan Jeong Yak-yong (1762-1836), and others.
