A Buddhist travelogue from the early Edo period. Five volumes. Written by Fukuchu (Ryojo), a Jodo sect monk. Written at the request of Uma Komei, an official of the Ryukyu Kingdom, during his stay in Ryukyu after 1603. Completed in 1613, published in 1648. Volumes 1-3 contain articles on the Buddhist worldview and introduction of Buddhism. Volumes 4 and 5 contain legends of the Ryukyu gods and records of gods and Buddhas who came from the mainland, making them valuable for glimpsing the religious situation in Ryukyu at the end of the Middle Ages.
