[raw]? [Death] Yuantei 2 (115 BCE) A Chinese official during the reign of Emperor Wu of the Western Han Dynasty. A native of Suzhou. Recommended by his fellow townsman Yan Zu, he served Emperor Wu and rose to the rank of Shizhong. Later, he proposed a plan to pacify the East Vietnam War, became the governor of Kuaiji, and together with General Han Shuo, defeated them. He rose from the rank of Chief Marshal to the rank of Nine Ministers. He accused the Chief Censor Zhang Tang of crimes, forcing him to commit suicide, but he himself was executed. When he was young, he would devote himself to reading books while carrying firewood on his back, and his wife grew tired of him and divorced him, but later, seeing him return to his hometown in glory, he committed suicide out of shame.
