A debate between Luther and the Catholic theologian Eck, held in Leipzig, Germany in 1519 in the presence of Duke George of Saxony. In response to Eck's questioning, Luther declared that the Pope and the Councils could make mistakes, and that there was something evangelical about the teachings of Hus.
