Born on April 7, 1609. The eldest son of Kano Mitsunobu. Served the second shogun, Tokugawa Hidetada. As the head of the Kano family, he participated in the production of sliding screen paintings for the Honmaru Palace of Nagoya Castle in 1614 (Keicho 19) and the Imperial Palace Awaensho in 1615 (Genna 5).
