Yokone

A colloquial name for bubo, which refers to the swelling of the lymph nodes in the groin due to a sexually transmitted disease. There are painless buboes that occur with the hard chancre of the first stage of syphilis, and painful buboes that occur with ulcers in the genitals during soft chancre.

横痃(おうげん)の俗称で、性病のために鼠径(そけい)部のリンパ節が腫(は)れてくる状態をさす。梅毒の第1期の硬性下疳(げかん)とともに生じる無痛性横痃と、軟性下疳の際に陰部の潰瘍(かいよう)とともに発生する有痛性横痃とがある。
