1. A full-length novel by Ayako Miura. It was submitted to the Asahi Shimbun Company's novel contest and won, and was serialized in the newspaper before being published in 1965. It deals with the theme of "original sin" in Christianity. There is also a sequel.

③ A Japanese TV drama based on ①. It was broadcast on the NET (now TV Asahi) network (January to April 1966). There were 13 episodes in total. Starring Michiyo Niijima, Shinsuke Ashida, Yoko Naito, and others.
④ A Japanese daytime drama broadcast on the TBS network. Kao Theater of Love. Broadcast from January to March 1971 (50 episodes in total). Based on ①. Starring Akiko Koyama, Shoji Yasui, and others.
