Noboseito

Japanese: 為登糸 - のぼせいと
Noboseito
During the Edo period, raw silk was sent from various regions to Nishijin, Kyoto. It began around the mid-17th century, and with the development of the sericulture industry, it increased rapidly in the 18th century, overpowering the white silk that had been produced in China. However, from the 19th century onwards, it gradually decreased due to the development of local textile industries, and fell into decline after the country was opened to the world. → White Thread Discount Ticket → Related Item Thread Discount Ticket
