Urado - Urado
Located in central Kochi Prefecture, on the west coast of the mouth of Urado Bay. Former village name. Incorporated into Kochi City in 1942. The name Urado appears in the ancient Tosa Nikki, and during the Sengoku period, Urado Castle was built, forming a castle town and a base for the navy. It is at the entrance to Katsurahama Beach to the east.
