A garden in Suizenji Park, Kumamoto City. Its official name is Suizenji Joshu Garden. Suizenji Temple, founded by Tadatoshi Hosokawa in 1632, was later moved to a nearby area and built on the site by three generations of his successors. It is a stroll-style garden modeled after the 53 Stations of the Tokaido, centered around a spring-fed pond. Suizenji Temple. 熊本市水前寺公園にある庭園。正称は水前寺成趣(じょうしゅ)園。寛永九年(一六三二)細川忠利が創建した水前寺を、のち付近に移して、その跡に忠利以後三代にわたって築造。湧き水の池を中心に東海道五十三次をかたどった回遊式庭園。水前寺。
