Administrative Advisory Committee - Gyosei Soudan Iin

Japanese: 行政相談委員 - ぎょうせいそうだんいいん

A person who has been commissioned as an administrative advisor by the Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications based on the Administrative Advisor Act (Act No. 99 of 1966). In order to contribute to the democratic administration of administration, their duties include providing necessary advice in response to complaints from private individuals regarding the operations of national administrative agencies and public corporations, and notifying the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications and the relevant administrative agencies to help resolve the complaints. Members are people who are socially respected and have an understanding and enthusiasm for improving administrative administration, and are commissioned for a limited period of up to two years within the designated municipal area. This is an honorary position and is unpaid.

行政相談委員法 (昭和 41年法律 99号) に基づいて総務大臣から行政相談委員として委嘱を受けた人。行政の民主的な運営に寄与するために国の行政機関や特殊法人の業務に関する私人の苦情の相談に応じて必要な助言をしたり，総務省や当該行政機関などに通知して苦情の解決に助力することを任務とする。委員には，社会的信望があって行政運営の改善に理解と熱意のある者を，担当する市町村の区域を定めて2年以内の期間を限って委嘱する。名誉職で無報酬である。
