Moscow, Russia (English spelling)

Japanese: モスクワ・ロシア(英語表記)Moskovskaya Rus’
Moscow, Russia (English spelling)
The term refers to Russia during the Moscow period (from roughly the mid-15th century to the end of the 17th century), when Moscow was the political, economic, and cultural center. It is also called the Moscow state (Moskovskoe gosudarstvo). The state's name was the Grand Duchy of Moscow. Following the development of the Moscow Principality within the Grand Duchy of Vladimir, Grand Prince Ivan III of Moscow worked towards the political unification of "Northeastern Russia" (Grand Duchy of Vladimir and Novgorod) and put an end to the "Tatar yoke." Ivan III also compiled the first nationwide "judicial law collection (suzevnik)" in 1497 after "Russkaya Pravda."
