Wife of the ancient Roman Emperor Claudius I. At first, she lived a chaste married life, but gradually she showed signs of nymphomaniac and became debauched and cruel in the Roman Imperial Court. She only surrounded Claudius with her favorite ministers, and had those who opposed her or threatened her position assassinated one after another. For example, Julia, the sister of the former Emperor Caligula, was sacrificed for her beauty. On the other hand, she had an affair with the consul Silius, which greatly shook Claudius' position and the stability of the empire. For this reason, she was assassinated by Claudius. Her son was Britannicus, and her daughter was Nero's wife Octavia.
