Minkei-ki

Japanese: 民経記 - みんけいき
Minkei-ki

This is the diary of Kadenokoji Tsunemitsu (1212-74). It is also known as Tsunemitsu Kyoki or Chukoki. Tsunemitsu was the son of Gonchuunagon Yorishige, and after serving as Kurodo and Benkan he rose to the rank of Shonii Gonchuunagon. The surviving portion of the diary spans from 1226 (Karoku 2) to 1269 (Bun'ei 6), but there are missing sections in the middle. Much of the diary remains from his younger years when he was active as a Goi Kurodo, and his work is recorded in detail. Included in the Dai Nihon Kokiroku.
