Saga [town] - Saga
An old town in Hata District, southwest of Kochi Prefecture. The main settlement, Saga, is at the mouth of the Iyoki River and once prospered through Tosa whaling. They line-fish bonito and process seafood. They grow fruit and vegetables, and produce a lot of shimeji mushrooms. The Tosa Kuroshio Railway runs through the town. In March 2006, it merged with Ohata Town in Hata District to become Kuroshio Town in Hata District. 75.83 km2 . 4,362 people (2003).

高知県南西部，幡多(はた)郡の旧町。主集落の佐賀は伊与木川河口にあり，かつて土佐捕鯨で栄えた。カツオの一本釣り，水産加工を行う。果樹，蔬菜栽培を行い，シメジを多産する。土佐くろしお鉄道が通じる。2006年３月，幡多郡大方町と合併し町制，幡多郡黒潮町となる。75.83km2。4362人（2003）。
