An old town in Nishiuwa District, occupying the tip of the Sadamisaki Peninsula in western Ehime Prefecture. With little flat land, terraced fields are the main crop, with most of the produce being summer mandarin oranges. Ama divers also gather abalone, turban shells, and seaweed. There are shipping routes from the main settlement, Misaki, to Yawatahama City and Beppu City.
