A metal mirror is a type of mirror that, when light is shone on it and the reflected light is projected onto a wall, produces images and patterns as shadows. When a pattern is cast onto the reverse side of a thin mirror and the surface (mirror surface) is polished, minute irregularities appear on the mirror surface, creating differences in light and dark in the reflected light.
