Japanese: 会見[町] - あいみ

An old town in Saihaku County, in the basin of the Asanabe River, a tributary of the Hosshoji River, in western Tottori Prefecture. The main settlement, Tema, was once a post town on the Izumo Kaido road. In addition to rice, the town cultivates tobacco leaves, persimmons and pears, and raises Japanese beef. It is home to Mount Tema, which is mentioned in the Kojiki, and is thought to have been one of the centers of the ancient Hoki Province. In October 2004, it merged with Saihaku Town, Saihaku County, to become a town, forming Nanbu Town. 30.95 ^km2 . Population: 4,153 (2003).

鳥取県西部，法勝寺(ほっしょうじ)川支流朝鍋(あさなべ)川の流域にある西伯(さいはく)郡の旧町。主集落の天万(てま)はかつての出雲街道の宿場町。米のほか葉タバコやカキ・ナシの栽培，和牛飼育を行う。《古事記》所載の手間(てま)山があり，古代伯耆(ほうき)国の一中心とみられる。2004年10月西伯郡西伯町と合併し町制，南部町となる。30.95km²。4153人（2003）。
