The name of the head of the Icchu-bushi Uji school. (1) First generation (1791-1858, Kansei 3-Ansei 5) Katsuta Gonzaemon, headman of Asakusa Zaimokucho. A disciple of the second head of the Icchu-bushi Sugano school, Sugano Joyu, he switched to the Miyako school and became Miyako Ikkansai, and in 1849 (Kaei 2) he founded the Uji school and took the name Uji Shibunsai. He composed new works with his wife Wabun and established the foundations. As a kyoka poet he took the name Chikusaan Moroji. (2) Second generation (1821-79, Bunsei 4-Meiji 12) Fukutaro, the first generation's biological son. First named Uji Shiho. After retirement he was called Kansai-o. 一中節宇治派の家元名。(1)初世(1791‐1858∥寛政3‐安政5) 浅草材木町の名主勝田権左衛門。一中節菅野派の家元2世菅野序遊の弟子で都派に転じて都一閑斎,1849年(嘉永2)に宇治派を創立し宇治紫文斎と号す。新作を妻の倭文(わぶん)と作り,基礎を固めた。狂歌師として千種庵諸持と号した。(2)2世(1821‐79∥文政4‐明治12) 初世の実子福太郎。初名宇治紫鳳。隠居後閑斎翁。(3)3世(1834‐1903∥天保5‐明治36) もと幕府の御家人。
