An undeveloped lowland located in central-northern Chad, in central Africa. The altitude is about 100m, and wadis (dried rivers) from the Ennedi Plateau in the east and the Tibesti Mountains in the north are concentrated in this lowland. It is said that Lake Chad in the southwest once extended its surface into this area, but the Ghazal River now connects the two.
