Hokke-do

1. The Lotus Sutra Absorption Zammai The hall where the Lotus Sutra is performed.
2. Columbariums for the imperial family and nobles.
One of the buildings at Todaiji Temple in Nara. A national treasure. The main hall was built in the Nara period, and the worship hall in the Kamakura period. It is also called the March Hall because the Hokke-e ceremony is held there every year in the third month of the lunar calendar. It is named after the principal image of the deity. Kousakudo Scholarship It houses many Buddhist statues from the Tenpyo period, including the principal image, the Acalanatha Bodhisattva.

２ 皇家・貴人の納骨堂。
奈良の東大寺にある堂舎の一。国宝。本堂は奈良時代、礼堂は鎌倉時代の建立で、毎年陰暦3月に法華会が行われるので三月堂ともいい、本尊にちなんで羂索堂けんじゃくどうともいう。本尊の不空羂索観音をはじめ、多くの天平時代の仏像を安置。

ほけ‐どう〔‐ダウ〕【▽法華堂】

「ほっけどう（法華堂）」に同じ。
