A former town in Jobo County, central Okayama Prefecture. The main settlement, Arima Ichiba, is located along the Arima River and is a key transportation hub between Ochiai and Takahashi. Tobacco cultivation is thriving, and the area also produces rice, muscat grapes, and vegetables. In October 2004, it was incorporated into Takahashi City along with the towns of Naruwa, Kawakami, and Bitchu in Kawakami County. 46.69 km2 . 2,775 people (2003). 岡山県中部，上房(じょうぼう)郡の旧町。主集落の有漢市場は有漢川に沿い，落合〜高梁(たかはし)間の交通要地。タバコ栽培が盛んで，米，マスカット，野菜も産する。2004年10月川上郡成羽町，川上町，備中町と高梁市へ編入。46.69km2。2775人（2003）。
