Japanese: 謀殺 - ぼうさつ

〘 noun 〙 Killing someone not out of a momentary emotion, but with prior planning. It is the opposite of willful murder. In the old Criminal Code, it was distinguished from willful murder, with the death penalty for premeditated murder and life imprisonment for willful murder. The current Criminal Code does not recognize this distinction. ※Shoku Nihongi - January 11, 1st year of Wadō (708) - Imperial decree: "Murder by premeditated murder, murder by premeditated murder, robbery, those who _are always pardoned _{are not} pardoned, and _{there is no} limit to _pardons _" [Tang Law - Robbery]
