Scorpion fly (English spelling)

...The abdomen is cylindrical with a tapered posterior segment, but the male's genital segments are large, with a pair of hooked projections at the end in a pincer shape, and the abdominal tip is always raised. This posture is the origin of the name "Scorpion fly," and when attacking, the way the round genital segments with pincers are extended forward over the head is reminiscent of a scorpion, hence the English name scorpion fly. It is usually black, about 20 mm long, with a long, thin head that extends downwards and has a small jaw at the tip, and all four wings are the same shape and are 13 to 20 mm long.
