?-1156? An English Catholic bishop who died in Finland. He first went to Uppsala, Sweden, where he served as bishop, but in the spring of 1155, he traveled with Prince Eric to Finland near Pori and began evangelizing. This was the first time Christianity was officially introduced to Finland, but it did not produce much success. Bishop Henry was killed on a frozen lake by a farmer who did not approve of Christianity. According to legend, this happened on January 20, 1156.
